When I got a new password book I wanted to use pencil instead of ink pen so I could change any password without making a mess. Regular pencils were too light and needed sharpening too often. Love the mechanical pencils.Every item in the very nice kit is top notch. This would make a wonderful gift for an artist, or if you are an artist, a great purchase!Great bargain for the price.The refills seem pretty good quality so far. My main quibble is that all of the pencils stripped the plastic threads holding the barrel in place the first or second time I advanced the lead. Now in order to advance or reposition the lead, I either have hold the barrel by wrapping my pinky around it while pressing the advance button with my thumb (a bit awkward) or hold the barrel in one hand while advancing it with the other.My kids love them. They trade with their friends.worse of the worse pen ever. I speculate all the reviews are fake. Every single one of the pencils the tip does not connect to the body. The reason is because all the threads are grinded down. I took a picture of it and trace yellow circle around it. On top of that the spring is very tightly wounded so when try to push for more lead it shoots out like a projective. It poked right onto my thumb, thank goodness is cheap so it wasn't too bad but on a small child this could be very dangerous. DO NOT BUY.Very nice mechanical pencil set - I got the three pencil set, with the different lead sizes and colors. The kit comes with everything you'd need to have a great set. The pencil itself has a built in sharpener at the top, which is really nice. The ONLY down-side to this set is that there is no build-in eraser. The set comes with separate erasers, which is good, but inconvenient - as you have to have one handy, instead of attached to the pencil.This is a great set for anyone that does a lot of drawing. I really like that you can decide what lead you use the most and leave it there with a dial label so you know what lead is in it. Much easier than keep changing throughout a project. Comes with plenty of refills.
