Other than the mouse port not working, this switch works fine. My workaround is to attach the mouse USB to a hub, then use the hub to attach to the HUB port of switch. That way it works. It just annoys me that the dedicated mouse port of this product does not work as designed.I frequently use 2 laptops while working from home. Like most people out there, my home desk has limited space and I was tired of juggling 2 keyboards and 2 mice. I always ended up using the wrong one. I originally started looking for a KVM switch that could be activated by a hotkey combination, but I really didn't need to switch the video. (Kinda hard to do when using multiple monitors along w/ laptop screens.)This USB switcher came up in my searching and I have to say, it's EXACTLY what I needed. I would have settled for a push-button switch to toggle between systems, but this piece actually has 3 ways to switch between systems 1 - a button, 2 - keyboard hotkey combo, 3 - double click the center mouse button (frequently a wheel.) The product arrived on time and I was able to set it up in minutes. Switching with the button and hotkey combo was smooth and simple. A little bit of a learning curve to switch using the mouse - I kept moving the wheel while double clicking, but once mastered, it's now the primary method I use to switch between laptops/docking stations. The switch comes with everything you need. All cables are included. I ended up switching out the USB cables connecting the switch to the docking stations - the supplied cables were 3 feet long and I only needed 12 inches max. If I could make one small change, I'd ask that the power input connector to changed from a USB A to small barrel connector to a standard USB A to either USB C or USB Micro. A VERY small complaint that in no way effects the performance of the switch. (But it would let me change to a pretty braided USB cable.)At $35 it's a steal. It would be a great deal at twice the price. My only regret is not finding this USB switch sooner. This is an overall "okay" switch; the biggest issues I have noticed with it revolve around the mouse and keyboard. My first attempt to use a standard Microsoft 2.4ghz mouse/keyboard combo did not work when using they keyboard or mouse port. the keyboard was registered, but the mouse did not; and the CTRL or scroll sequences were not recognised.I then turned to a wireless Link-5 HP keyboard in the keyboard port, and a wired mouse in the mouse port: Keyboard worked with hot-keys, but mouse was not recognised. After trying several mouses, it took me using a very old USB mouse before the switch recognised it in the mouse port; I eventually gave up and settled for having the keyboard receiver in the keyboard port to use the hot keys, and the USB mouse in one of the standard ports. (The mouse that is tied to the same reciver is not recognised)At times, the keyboard will lag, several seconds, and you have to use a hard to remember keystroke sequence to reset it, or it need to be unplugged and reset. It does however seem to auto-switch to the active machine a good portion of the time, and I have had no issues using a variety of devices (Printers, webcams, exHDDs, flash drives) in the other USB port. It has seamless cross-platform compatibility: I use this so switch between a MacPro running Mojave, and a Windows 10 machine; no issues with drivers or unrecognised keys.Long story short: You get what you pay for, especially with these Brand X devices.THE BIG WARNING: If I HAD to use the physical button. eg: I wasn't willing to loss access to my keyboards "special/unique" keys. I would have returned it and been very dissatisfied person.Pros:- Works with Gaming mice in the hub- I personally find the hotkey numlock twice +1 or 2 + Enter to be awesome.- I can switch the slot and use the keyboard to wake the system.Edit/Update:- If you supply power to the switch it losses the ability to wake the system.Cons:- Microsoft Keyboard center no longer recognizes my Natural 4000 so I have to use Autohotkey to re-map a couple of standard media keys. If I actually used the zoom, Favorite keys, or F switch keys this would have been a huge deal breaker and I'd given this unit 1-2 stars, but I don't therefore this con did not effect my rating at all. But causes me to add the big warning at the top as it's a major potential issue when combined with the next con.- The Physical button is horrible and the reason I'm giving the unit 4 stars. At the very least if they are going to provide this terrible of an on unit button they should add a connector for an optional cable switch like you see on the majority of K/M switches. If you use the hotkey-enabled mouse port, you'll notice a slightly laggy different "feel" of your mouse. And within a few minutes of using the hotkey-enabled keyboard port, I started getting stuck/phantom keys.Peripherals work fine if you use the non-hotkey ports, but at that point this is really no different than any other KM switch that doesn't have a hotkey mode. It's almost brilliant, but flawed in annoying ways.First off, it only works with completely vanilla mice. More than 2 buttons and a scroll wheel? You can't use the mouse quick swap functions. And you can't plug a fancy mouse into the dedicated mouse port at all or all smart functions stop working. When using a keyboard in the dedicated keyboard port it regularly suffers from phantom stuck keys. Whatever button you pressed last stays active until you or it again. Occasionally while typing, continually while gaming. To avoid this you have to turn off the smart switch functions, or plug your mouse and keyboard into the non-dedicated slots (which has the same effect). At which stage you can get the same button press computer switch function devices a lot cheaper. All told, I'm not binning or returning it, but I don't recommend it either周辺機器をまとめて入れ替える時とても便利です!
