For gaming, I strictly use Cherry MX Red Switches because of the performance. I decided I wanted to pick up a cheap mechanical keyboard for my work office so I had something satisfying to type on when writing reports. I wanted to find a deal on something with Cherry MX Brown (or equivalent). Brown or equivalent switches have the satisfying bump and tactile response as the Blues but not as loud.My keyboard arrived with a few keycaps bumped off, not a big deal. One of the switches had also come out and had bent pins. I contacted Amazon and they gave me a partial refund. Since I was able to bend the pins back I kept the keyboard.You get some extra switches and a keycap remover in the box. The labeling on the keycaps is very "gamer-esque", almost too much but it's OK.This keyboard is not RGB, the color is fixed on each row and you can change the lighting effects with keyboard shortcuts. None of this mattered to me, I just wanted the responsiveness and feel of the brown knockoffs.Compared to authentic Cherry MX Brown switches & keyboards, this device is much louder. It's not horribly loud and now that I have a large mouse mat the sound doesn't annoy my coworkers.In hindsight, I wish I had gone with a more reputable brand with authentic MX Brown Switches.Still, for the price (<$40) this is a great budget buy, all of the functions work, and it is VERY satisfying to type on.
