Description

The microKEY61 provides a full five octaves while fitting in the same horizontal space as a full-sized 49-key model. The 61-key model is ideal for use in the home studio, while still satisfying the needs of a performing musician. microKEY61 harmoniously joins hardware with software by including the Korg Legacy Collection Special Bundle, providing software versions of five of Korg's most coveted synthesizers: the MS-20 analog monophonic synthesizer, the Polysix polyphonic synthesizer, the Mono/Poly analog synthesizer, the M1, and the Wavestation digital synthesizer, as a suite of 19 of Korg’s sought after effects plugins. The microKEY61 also serves double-duty as a USB hub. The two USB ports (Type A) allow you to expand your custom control center by adding on a Korg nanoPAD2 or nanoKONTROL2 or any other USB device. Also included are licenses* for Applied Acoustics Systems' Strum Acoustic Session, Lounge Lizard Session, and Ultra Analog Session as well as a license for Toontrack's software drum sound module EzDrummer Lite,* and a discount coupon* for Ableton's Live, Live Suite, and Live LE DAW software, widely popular for its sophisticated functionality.

I'm a musician studying music production. I lugged this around and used it almost daily last semester with my laptop and grew to love it. Hated the action at first (I'm a pianist; other instrumentalists may not mind so much) but I'm way over it. The Microkey37 suits my purposes very well.Debated between this and the M-Audio Keystation Mini 32. So glad I went with the Korg. Those extra 5 keys have made a big difference for me. Besides, I watched video reviews for both products, and the Korg seems more durable. The Mini 32 bends (not as in pitch bend, but rather the entire keyboard flexes when stressed). They Korg seems much more solid. The extra USB ports are super helpful. No sustain pedal jack--bummer. But copy and paste the following for instructions on how to add one: [...]I ordered the Gator GK-2110 case. The keyboard fits just right width wise, thanks to the case's flexibility. Although it takes up the width of the case, it only takes up half the height. Perfect! My Mbox2 Mini, full size mac keyboard, and mouse fit nicely in the other half. It's all really a dream come true. Sound a little excessive? Well, for someone who's obsessive (OCD), it's really nice to have all that power and convenience stored in one case. All the components are light and so's the case. Best. Portability. EVER.I can rely on this thing for operating Sibelius and Protools on the go. Hasn't let me down yet. I LOVE IT. Highly recommend it. Thank you, Korg! Woo-hoo! WELL worth the dinero.
